Paris: Le 7ème festival des peuples de l'Himalaya s'est conclus sur la dispersion du mandala de sable par Géshe Thupten Tenpa dans le lac Daumesnil Dimanche, 24 septembre 2006. Organisé en collaboration par la maison du Tibet et le Bureau du Tibet, l'évênement a attiré des milliers de visiteurs au bois du Vincennes.

On pouvait voir au cours de ce weekend la création d’un Mandala par Géshe Thupten Tenpa et l'exposition de Torma, sculptures rituelles en beurre ainsi que Les chiens du Tibet, de la caligraphie tibétaine, des contes. Le premier jour, les danses monastiques et celles de la communauté tibétaine en Belgique ont illuminées le festival.

Le second jour une conférence sur la médecine tibétaine conduite par le Dr. Tenzin Kyipa (qui exerce aux Pays Bas). Les performances des membres de la communauté tibétaine en France ont précedé l'intervention du très Vénérable Dagpo Rinpoche sur le bouddhisme tibétain.

Paris: The 7th Himalayan Festival in Paris concluded with the dispersion of the sand mandala into Lac Daumesnil by Geshe Thupten Tenpa on Sunday, 24 September 2006. Jointly organised by Bureau du Tibet and Maison du Tibet, the two-day event brought thousands of Parisian to the picturesque bois du Vincennes.

The Festival included display of Torma or butter sculptures and the creation of Sand Mandala by Geshe Thupten Tenpa, dogs from Tibet, Tibetan calligraphy and story-telling. The first day of the festival highlighted Tibetan dance troupe from Belgium.

The second day of the festival began with a detailed lecture on Traditional art of Tibetan healing by Amchi Tenzin Kyipa. This was followed by performances from members of the Tibetan Community in France. Dagpo Rinpoche gave a discourse on Tibetan Buddhism in the afternoon.

Mr. Patrick Bloche, MP, Socialist Party, a long-time supporter of Tibetan people also attended the second day of the festival.
