Benefit Concert for Bangalore College ProjectBy Tenam Paris Monday, 18 June: Coinciding with 'Fête de la Musique' (Festival of Music) that takes place every 21st of June all over France, 'Tibet-Les Enfants de l'Espoir' is organising a series of concerts by Ani Choying throughout France. The benefits from the concerts will go to fund the Bangalore college project initiated by Kasur Jetsun Pema. The budget for this project is estimated to be at US$10 million and the Executive Council of TCV is optimistic that the fund will be realized in time. Once completed, the college will have capacity to accommodate and cater the educational need of around 3000 Tibetan students. Ani Choying Dolma, born June 4, 1971 in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a Buddhist nun and musician from the Nagi Gompa nunnery in Nepal. She is known in Nepal and throughout the world for bringing many Tibetan Buddhist chants and feast songs to mainstream audiences. The concerts kickstarts on the 21 of June in Nantes.
